This one is simple. Yes, it is needlepoint because it is made of the same yarn and canvas as is used in needlepoint. However, bargello is a repeating pattern with different colored yarns. It is almost never printed on the canvas, though it is charted. The bargello stitch is a long straight stitch worked straight up and down on the canvas, usually over 4 rows at a time. The pattern is made by proceeding in steps up a fixed number of threads.More than one stitch can be on the same step, making a horizontal line of stitches. The result is a repeating pattern that needleworkers find easy to learn and easy to finish.
